"I do not want to have a Kylian Mbappé who was born in Bordeaux in our national team, but to make Kylian Mbappés who were born in our working-class neighborhoods in Cameroon, because there are talents in our territories to be valued."
Eto'o's ideas about football in Cameroon were described as 'just one of the ways to reduce these insignificant happenings in Africa'.
The former Barcelona striker indirectly stated that more interest should be given to players who hailed from a country who represent that same country.
