Arsenal hotshot Bukayo Saka has beaten Wayne Rooney's World Cup record, following his spectacular performance for England against Iran.
Saka was among England's star players during their huge 6-2 win over Team Melli in the Group B opener in Qatar on Monday, November 21.
The Gunners forward netted a brace to inspire the Three Lions to a comfortable win at the Khalifa International Stadium.
According to ESPN, the 21-year-old's brace was enough to help him shatter Rooney's record of just one goal for England in the World Cup.

Despite Rooney being one of only two England strikers to score over 50 goals, the Manchester United legend was able to score just once at the World Cup. His only goal on the global stage for the Three Lions came during their 2-1 loss to Uruguay in 2014.
The DC United boss made 11 appearances for England during his illustrious career with the national team.

Meanwhile, a goal each from Jude Bellingham, Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish - plus a brace from Saka - got England's World Cup campaign off to a flying start.
