Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has reignited his squabble with Cristiano Ronaldo, days after the bombshell interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored.
Ronaldo dominated news headlines and social media last week, after he made a series of scathing attacks on Manchester United, Erik ten Hag and Rooney, among other things.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner fired back at Rooney, who had previously questioned his attitude and behaviour at the club this season. It is in the public domain that Ronaldo has not had the best of seasons in ten Hag's debut season at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo retorted that Rooney was jealous of him, because he was still playing at a high level and looked better than the former England star.

Goal reported that Rooney let the comments slide when he was asked about Ronaldo's response at the Globe Soccer Awards.

Appearing on Indian television JioCinema, as captured by MEN, Rooney revealed that he would drop Ronaldo while playing the popular game of 'play, bench, sell.'
He was asked to choose between Ronaldo's main rival Lionel Messi, current Three Lions captain Harry Kane, and Ronaldo himself on who he would play, bench and sell.
Rooney settled on starting Messi, benching Kane and dropping Ronaldo altogether, in what is set to reignite the new-found animosity Ronaldo has for him.
