Ghana beat Switzerland in friendly

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that defender Mohammed Salisu and forward Antoine Semenyo scored their first goals for the Black Stars, as Ghana beat Switzerland in their final friendly ahead of the World Cup.

Salisu's second half lofting header, and Semenyo's powerful strike, ensured the Black Stars leave for Qatar with their confidence boosted.

Switzerland started off well. Ruben Vargas almost scored early in the first half, after meeting a cross from Breel Embolo on the right.

Salis makes Black Stars debut

Sports Brief also reported on Salis Abdul Samed impressing in his debut for the Black Stars of Ghana, during the international friendly against Switzerland.

Samed, who plies his trade for French club RC Lens, started for the team ahead of their departure for Qatar on November 18.

The team takes on Portugal in their opening group stage match on November 24, and will aim to stop Cristiano Ronaldo's team in their title charge.
