- Neymar and Brazil will commence their journey to the elusive sixth world title against Serbia on Thursday, November 24
Brazil forward Neymar has hinted England manager Gareth Southgate may have committed a blunder with his final 26-man contingent for the 2022 World Cup.
Southgate ruffled a few feathers with his final squad for the Mundial, with several high-profile names conspicuously missing from the list.
Key among the absentees was Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho, who was later trolled by an Irish Airline - RyanAir - for his inability to make the England squad for the global showpiece.
His absence may somehow be justified, following his questionable form in the build-up to the World Cup, despite showing positive signs early in the campaign.

However, Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is of a different opinion, suggesting Sancho's skillset should have merited him a spot in Southgate's 26-man squad.
The 30-year-old, who made Brazil's list for the World Cup, said in an interview with the Telegraph, after excluding the Three Lions from his favourites to lift the World Cup:
"I forgot about England, but obviously they have a chance."
When asked who his favourite English players are, Neymar added:
"I really like Kane and Sancho. They are two incredible players and I have a special love for them. I like players that have their qualities."

The biggest World Cup snubs: A list of footballers left out of their countries’ World Cup squad
FootballNeymar has again proven to the world he is a special footballer with an incredible skill set, after another amazing demonstration which stunned his Brazilian teammates.
Brazil stars participated in an extreme touch challenge in a video uploaded online, where a drone held a football 35 metres in the air.
In typical Neymar fashion, the PSG star led brought the ball under immediate control with a ridiculously good first touch, before flicking the ball up into his hands.
Irish Airline savagely trolls Sancho
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Southgate's England squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was bound to stoke some controversy.
Manchester United star Jadon Sancho found himself omitted from the final squad alongside the likes of Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham.
Perhaps Tomori will feel hard done by the decision, given his imperious form for AC Milan, but Sancho knew the snub was coming.
