As the Premier League goes into a six-week break to pave way for the World Cup, a look at how the standings would be without the Video Assisted Referee (VAR) makes for interesting viewing.
The controversial VAR is here to stay, but this has not stopped sections of fans from criticising the technology whenever decisions go against their respective teams.
ESPN's Dale Johnson recently shared an interesting analysis, which sought to show how the Premier League table would look like in the absence of the contentious VAR so far this campaign.
As far as the ‘Big Six’ is concerned, Liverpool would be the biggest losers on the Premier League table without the VAR.

As reported by Daily Star, Jurgen Klopp’s side has gained as many as five points as a result of VAR decisions this season. Without these calls, Liverpool would lie 12th in the league, six places down from their current position.
Manchester United have also benefited from VAR as well and without it, Erik ten Hag’s side would be in sixth place instead of fifth.
Brentford, who are having a dream campaign so far this season, have also been greatly helped by the VAR and without it, they would fall six places from 10th. They have gained three points as a direct result of the VAR’s decisions.

FootballWest Ham, on the other hand, who are facing a real relegation threat after 14 games of the season, would really benefit in the absence of VAR as they would gain four points.
Manchester City is another team that would close the gap at the top to three points if VAR calls were removed.
League leaders Arsenal still maintain top spot in the league table without VAR, as Arteta’s men still gain a point without the technology.

Sports Brief also earlier reported on a hilarious incident involving Manchester City's Kyle Walker and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
