Nigerian female pastor has dragged Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi over the way the Argentina international has been keeping his beard.

Messi was not the only one dragged by the pastor in a video spotted on Twitter, fans of the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner also got some lashes.

According to the Nigerian pastor while ministering to her congregation, she made it known that youths and adults in Islam and Christianity are copying Messi by keeping their beards.

She made it clear that only mad people keep beards without shaving or trimming.

The pastor added those keeping their beards like Messi are not following the spirit of God, but the one inside the PSG superstar.

with this statement, many will now be wondering what spirit is inside Messi.

Statement made by the pastor

''Now you will see that there is a footballer called Messi who is leaving his beard everywhere and everybody are now keeping their beards also.
''The youths both Christians and Muslims are now copying Messi like mad men. You are not following the spirit of God, but Messi's own.''

Meanwhile, Messi is currently preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup as the PSG star will be leading Argentina to Qatar for the competition.

La Albiceleste, backed by an in-form Messi, are among the favorites to win the World Cup that will begin in Qatar on November 20 although the PSG star is weary of two other nations.

Messi believes Brazil and France will be Argentina’s biggest threat to winning the tournament in Qatar due to the quality of players both nations possess.

Argentina have been drawn in Group C at the 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland.
