Sergio Ramos will not have another chance to add more laurels to his national team collection after failing to make the cut for Spain’s 26-man squad for Qatar 2022.
Luis Enrique opted against taking the veteran Paris Saint-Germain star to the World Cup in preference for younger defenders such as Barcelona’s Eric Garcia.
According to the Daily Mail, the Spanish boss didn't select PSG defender Ramos, despite the centre-back having won 180 caps for Spain and being the most capped player in his national team's history.

Ramos is regarded as one of Spain’s best-ever defenders having won one World Cup and two European Championships with the national team.
Liverpool’s Thiago also misses out
Meanwhile, Thiago Alcantara also failed to make Spain’s 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after being left out of the team by Luis Enrique, Daily Mirror reports.
Thiago has suffered from fitness issues this season and has missed too many matches for Liverpool, resulting in him not being selected for Spain’s squad.
David de Gea is also another big name left out of Spain’s squad with Brentford and Brighton goalkeepers David Raya and Robert Sanchez picked ahead of the Manchester United goalkeeper.
