Switzerland have announced their squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar and Arsenal star Granit Xhaka making the list.
Xhaka who has been impressive this season for Arsenal is expected to captain the Swiss national team in their campaign in Qatar.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will kickoff on the 20th of November with France gearing up to defend the title they won last four years in Russia.
However, it will be tough for France to retain their title this year as nations like Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and England have been tipped to shine in Qatar.

According to the official statement on Swiss Football Twitter account, Manuel Akanji, Remo Freuler, Denis Zakaria also made the final list.

Fabian Schar will play in his third World Cup after attending the last two tournaments in Russia and Brazil.
This could be Schar’s last time participating in the biggest of football tournaments as he will be turning 31 years old two days after the tournament’s final.
Switzerland are in group G, and will face Brazil, Serbia, and Cameroon.

Fecafoot - the Cameroon Football Federation - are reportedly having a showdown with kit and equipment supplier Le Coq Sportif.

FootballIt is believed a Paris commercial court has intervened in the dispute and ordered the squad to wear the kit suppliers' uniforms at the World Cup.
FIFA supported the ruling and urged Le Coq Sportif to continue supplying their equipment to the country.
FIFA was possibly angered by Fecafoot earlier deciding to terminate the French kit company's contract and partnering instead with One All Sport, an American company.
