How does that concern FIFA?

Under the law governing FIFA, Football Associations are not allowed to be controlled by the governments, and any country that breaks this rule will be suspended.

The report added that FIFA chiefs have written a letter to Tunisia's sports Minister asking him to make clarifications about the comments made by him.

Tunisia are currently in Group D alongside Denmark, Australia and reigning champions, France.

In World Cup's history, no African side has ever won the title before, as their highest stage is reaching the quarterfinal.

Mane snubs African teams

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Sadio Mane snubbed all the African teams going to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, naming Argentina as the strong favourite to win the global championship this year.

Football lovers in every part of the world are currently preparing for the World Cup, which will start in November and sees France in a bid to retain the crown.

In the Champions League on Wednesday night, October 26, Mane was impressive while playing for Bayern Munich during their emphatic 3-0 win over Barcelona.

After the encounter at Camp Nou, Mane was asked to name his favourite team to win the World Cup, and the Senegalese picked Argentina.
