Karim Benzema’s fitness and injury issues this season have been giving Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti some concerns, as Los Blancos bid to retain their La Liga and Champions League crown.
The 34-year-old forward has missed some crucial matches this season, which has forced Ancelotti to try a new attacking line-up involving Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde.
According to Marca, Ancelotti has now revealed that Benzema will be needed by Real Madrid when domestic football resumes after the World Cup in Qatar, as he is an integral part of the team.
"His absence has allowed us to exploit the quality of players like Vinicius, Rodrygo and Valverde. However, we will need him after the World Cup."

Benzema is set to play a key role for France, as Didier Deschamps' team tries to defend the World Cup title they won four years ago in Russia.
Benzema and Rudiger out injured
Meanwhile, Benzema will not be available for selection when Real Madrid travel to Real Vallecano for their La Liga clash on Monday night, Football Espana reports.
The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner has been ruled of the game with injury alongside Germany central defender Antonio Rudiger, who is also not available.
Benzema could return for the midweek clash with Cadiz, but Rudiger will be granted extra time to prepare for the World Cup.
