The legendary Barcelona defender was at the centre of the events taking place at the stadium as the club paid tribute to the Spanish defender ahead of his final home game.
Piqué announced his retirement during the week, stating the game against Almeria would be his last home game for the Blaugrana.
While Piqué refused a farewell press conference like many former stars were given, the club did go out of its way to make his final game special.

Fans were encouraged to wear the defender's shirt to the stadium, and even his fellow teammates donned a Piqué kit. Special kits were made for the game for the squad to train in ahead of kick-off.
The back boasted his name and his number 3, while the front had the word Sempr3 on it. Sempre is Spanish for Always/Forever, and the 3 was used instead on an E to pay tribute to Piqué's squad number.
Fans even chanted his name when Barcelona were given an early penalty, as supporters wanted the captain for the day to take the spot kick. Robert Lewandowski took the kick and missed.
