Legendary Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan has dropped a new song for the Black Stars, ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

The 36-year-old, who is likely to miss the World Cup due to the lack of football since 2021, teemed up with Ghanaian artist Kiaani to compose a song for the team.

Gyan release snippet of the song on social media, as he urged the Black Stars team to 'turn up' in Qatar.

Turn Up is a common phrase in Ghana which literally means to show up and give your all.

The former Black Stars captain will miss the World Cup this year, having last played for the team in 2019.

The Black Stars have been drawn against 2016 European champions Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Nyaho-Tamakloe wants Asamoah Gyan included

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that ex-Ghana Football Association boss, Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe believes Asamoah Gyan can make a difference in the Black Stars team, calling on Gyan to be included in squad for World Cup in Qatar.

The former Black Stars captain has not been part of the team since the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

However, Nyaho-Tamakloe insists the legendary forward could be an asset for Ghana in Qatar in the next few weeks.

Gyan on 2010 missed penalty

Asamoah Gyan has disclosed that he practiced penalties before Ghana faced Uruguay, in the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The ex-Black Stars captain went on to miss a crucial penalty that would have seen Ghana become the first country in Africa to reach the semi-final.

According to the 37-year-old, he scored twenty penalties in training and was confident of converting against Uruguay.
