Former Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes Matt Turner should consider leaving Arsenal, as he is ‘too good to be sitting on the bench’.
Turner, an American, has been brilliant for Arsenal in the Europa League so far this season, but in the league, Mikel Arteta prefers Aaron Ramsdale.
Despite only arriving in the summer from MLS side New England Revolution, Freidel believes Arsenal should let Turner go - or at least be out on loan.
With Aaron Ramdale as Arsenal's number 1 goalie in the Premier League, the North London side have been impressive so far this season.

For Turner, the lack of playing time might cripple his World Cup ambitions.
"When you’re in the MLS, this is what I’ll say - it’s hard to turn down a club like Arsenal coming in for you," Freidel said as quoted by The Sun, as per Fairbettingsites.co.UK
"But when you move and you’re as good as Matt Turner, I’d like to think that you would move and you’re being told that you were gonna be the number one, which obviously wasn’t the case at Arsenal."

He described Turner as 'a heck of a nice guy and a heck of a good goalkeeper, reiterating his belief that Turner was far too good a goalie to be left on the bench.
Ramsdale will likely be on the bench for England in the World Cup.
