Barcelona have another player on the injury table, following their failed UEFA Champions League campaign.
Ivory Coast international Franck Kessie will face a lengthy spell on the sidelines, after suffering a hamstring injury during Barca’s game against Viktoria Plzeň.
Xavi’s men cruised to a 4-2 victory over the Czech side thanks to goals from Ferran Torres (2), Marcos Alonso and Pablo Torre, SuperSport reported.
While Barca ended their Champions League campaign on a high note, there is concern over Kessie’s injury.

Barca Universal reported that Kessie suffered a tear in the biceps femoris of his left leg. He could be out of action for at least six weeks.
Kessie will miss the remaining games against UD Almeria and CA Osasuna in La Liga before the World Cup begins.
During his post-match press conference, Xavi talked about the player’s injury and how it was a blow because Kessie was performing well.
“He is screwed. I think he has hurt his hamstring. He was playing a good game in the midfield position, winning duels, and was good at the start,” Xavi said.
Barcelona have been plagued by injuries since the international break and are without a host of players.

FootballRonald Araujo, Memphis Depay, Frenkie de Jong, Andreas Christensen, Sergi Roberto and Eric Garcia are currently injured, while a few others have minor concerns.
19-year-old Pablo Torre also had to be stretchered off during the Champions League game, but Xavi has downplayed any concerns about the youngster’s injury, Football Espana reported.
Barcelona’s injury woes know no end. The Catalan club have two more players on the sidelines, with one of those being another defender, Sports Brief earlier reported.
Goal initially reported that defender Andreas Christensen picked up an injury during the UEFA Champions League game against Inter Milan.
Barcelona have been hit with an injury crisis, and the situation appears to be getting worse, Sports Brief also reported.
The Blaugrana have already lost Jules Koundé, Ronald Araújo and Ousmane Dembélé to injury during the international break - and now have three more players injured.
As reported by Goal, Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay will be out of action after picking up injuries while on international duty with the Netherlands, Sports Brief reported.
