The Belgium national team coach has insisted that Hazard makes a difference no matter how much he weighs.

“Eden Hazard can have bad games and can have moments when he's not at his best. People say it's because of his body shape or he's carrying too much body fat. He’s carrying the same body fat when he makes a difference,” Martinez said.

He added when Hazard had a bad day, people were quick to make a lazy comment that it was because of his weight.

Hazard has fallen out of favour in Madrid but remains a big part of the national team’s plans.

As noted by Goal, he is the country’s second-highest goal scorer. Hazard has scored 33 goals for Belgium but is still over 30 goals behind Romelu Lukaku.
