The worrying incident occurred on Thursday, 27th October evening, which saw a knife-wielding man start randomly attacking shoppers, unfortunately killing a cashier in a distressing situation.
According to the BBC, a 46-year-old suspect grabbed a knife from the shelves and stabbed several people, including Mari, on Thursday evening. The Arsenal defender was stabbed in the back while shopping with his wife and son.
Fortunately, Mari's injuries are not life-threatening, according to his agent. Both Arsenal and Monza have released statements regarding the incident.

Mari's father's update
Mari's dad spoke to his son's partner, Veronica, who offered some positive news., according to the Mirror.
Veronica (the footballer's partner) has not told us how it happened, but she has told us that she has seen a person die in front of her. She has reassured us, confirming that they are fine and that everything has been a fright for them."
The defender is set to remain under medical care and is expected to undergo surgery to repair muscle damage.
Monza also released an encouraging statement about the defender, confirming that he will make a full recovery.
"Pablo Mari has quite a deep cut to his back, but fortunately, it did not reach any vital organs like the lungs or anything else. His life is not in danger, he should recover quickly."
