Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has cheekily apologised to his wife, Izabel Kovacic, for running off the pitch in his underwear.
Kovacic caused quite a stir when he gave away his shirt and shorts to a fan after Chelsea's game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on October 22nd.
Normally, players usually give away only their shirts, but the Croatian decided to take it a notch higher. He took to Instagram and rendered an apology to his wife.

What exactly did Kovacic do?
Sports Brief had earlier reported that midfielder Mateo Kovacic briefly stole the show during the match between Manchester United and Chelsea on Saturday, October 22, leaving the pitch in nothing but his underwear.
The former Real Madrid man came on for Chelsea, replacing Marc Cucurella in the 36th minute in contentious circumstances. The Blues were a much-improved side after the introduction of Kovacic, who seemed to settle his side’s midfield.
Fans were quick to point out the Croatian’s impact in the game, but the conversation at full-time quickly shifted to his brief antics as he left the pitch.
