Bankole Olowookere who is the coach of the Nigeria's Under-17 Female team, Flamingos, has stated clearly that his wards are ready to beat Colombia on Wednesday, 26 October.
The Flamingos will face Colombia in the semifinal clash of the 2022 World Cup going on in India and the tie is expected to be a big battle between these two nations.
Nigeria, for the first time in its history, reached the semifinal of the Under-17 Female World Cup, thereby putting smiles on the faces of all Nigerians.
The new President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Ibrahim Shehu Gusau, has also travelled to India to boost the morale of the girls ahead of their tie against Colombia.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Olowookere explained that his girls will not disappoint Nigerians in their semifinal encounter.

“And to achieve that we must beat the Colombians and we are doing everything to make it possible.''
Gusau arrives India to support Flamingos
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how newly-elected president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau, has landed in India to support the Flamingos in the semi-finals of the ongoing FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

Gusau will be in the stands when the girls file out against the South Americans at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa, on Wednesday. The encounter will start at 4 pm (12noon Nigeria time).
It is the first time an African nation will reach this stage of the competition, and victory for the Flamingos will see them reach the final.
