FootballErik ten Hag Told He Is Disrespecting Cristiano Ronaldo After Snub During Tottenham Win
- Staunch fans of Cristiano Ronaldo have come out to claim Erik ten Hag is the one disrespecting the superstar
- Ronaldo did not feature in the game against Tottenham, despite scoring a hat-trick against the same opponents last season
- The Manchester United boss said after the game that he would ‘deal’ with Ronaldo after his controversial walkout
Cristiano Ronaldo fans are adamant the football legend has been disrespected by Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, following the latest snub.
United were emphatic 2-0 winners over Tottenham on Wednesday, October 19 in the Premier League, but that win was eclipsed by Ronaldo’s antics. The Portuguese star stormed down the tunnel before full-time.
Since then, a lot has been said about that specific incident, with many fans divided on whether the 37-year-old was justified to have departed early instead of staying and applauding the home support.
However, one faction that refuses to budge in their opinions is the staunch fan base of Ronaldo, who insist ten Hag is belittling the forward’s legacy.

As reported on SportBible, these supporters were quick to point out on social media that Ronaldo was seen warming up, with high expectations that he would make his way into the action.
However, once it looked apparent that ten Hag would not make any attacking changes, Ronaldo almost looked defeated as he left the pitch, four minutes before the end of regulation time.
“Ten Hag really told Cristiano Ronaldo to warm up and ended up leaving him on the bench. If this is not disrespect, I don't even know what it is anymore,” one fan said.
“Cristiano Ronaldo being disrespected proves that loyalty doesn’t exist anymore in football. Can’t believe he really chose United over City,” added another on Twitter.

Ronaldo spotted at Man United training after antics
As Sports Brief earlier reported, Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted at the Man United training ground for his reported showdown talks with Erik ten Hag, following his Old Trafford walkout.
Ten Hag had spoken after the game on Wednesday, saying he would address Ronaldo later as the team focused on the victory against Antonio Conte’s side.
Ronaldo’s future still faces some uncertainty, although he is likely to try to force a move away in January due to lack of enough playing time at Old Trafford.
