Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted at the Man United training ground for his reported showdown talks with Erik ten Hag, following his Old Trafford walkout.

The veteran striker sparked anger and outrage from a section of United fans, over his decision to leave the stadium before the full-time whistle of their clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Wednesday night Premier League encounter saw Ronaldo benched, with ten Hag opting to recall Marcus Rashford to the starting XI to lead the attack.

Ronaldo had hoped to come on as a substitute at some point in the match, only for ten Hag to overlook him.

The Dutchman instead decided to bring on Scott McTominay, Anthony Elanga and Christian Eriksen, leaving out Ronaldo altogether.

Ten Hag unhappy with Ronaldo

However, the move did not go down well with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who decided to leave the stadium before the whistle.

Speaking after the match, ten Hag revealed he did not have any conversation with his star player but vowed to deal with the situation the following day.

"We will deal with that on Thursday. I saw him leaving but I didn’t speak to him after," he said.

On Thursday, The Sun reports Ronaldo was spotted arriving at the Carrington training base ready for showdown talks with his manager over his antics.

Incidentally, the antics in the final minutes of the Spurs tie are nothing new for ten Hag to deal with when it comes to the Portuguese.

On Sunday, the 37-year-old was seen shaking his head in anger after he was subbed off against Newcastle United.

Ronaldo has managed just two Premier League starts so far as his struggles at Old Trafford continue.

Ronaldo unhappy with Newcastle sub

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo cut a dejected figure, after he was subbed off in the second half of Man United's Premier League clash with Newcastle at Old Trafford.

The veteran striker was handed a rare Premier League start during the encounter, with Erik ten Hag naming him in the starting XI.

However, the Portuguese star made little impact during the encounter on October 16.
