Speaking ahead of his side's meeting with Fulham, the Liverpool legend hinted that Villa's next two fixtures could decide his future at the club.

“I think every coach and manager you speak to will talk about time and blah blah blah but I’m not going to hide away from anything,” he said via TalkSport.
“I want to be judged in the now as well; I totally understand the position we’re in and how important it is to have a positive week," he added.

Aston Villa are scheduled to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Thursday night before playing Brentford at home on Sunday, October 23.

Aston Villa eye Thomas Tuchel

Aston Villa have reportedly put the German tactician on their watchlist as uncertainty continues over Steven Gerrard's future.

Gerrard has found the going difficult this season, with the club hovering above the relegation places.
