Man City are looking to seal their place in the last 16 if they beat FC Copenhagen in Denmark on Tuesday night with two games to spare. The Citizens are top of the group with nine points, while the hosts are bottom with just one point.

Guardiola's men are still searching for their first Champions League trophy after falling short on many occasions, since Sheikh Mansour bought the club in 2008.

According to the BBC, Pep is also hoping to get his hand on the title he last won in 2011 with Barcelona, who beat City rivals Manchester United 3-1 at Wembley.

Guardiola bemused by selfie request

Before he could take questions from journalists, a local reporter approached the legendary manager to ask for a selfie. According to The Sun, Pep politely agreed but was made to wait awkwardly as the reporter took the picture.

The 51-year-old smiled shortly after the reporter finished taking the pictures.

Their game against Copenhagen will probably be a preparation for City's showdown with Liverpool on Sunday, as they look to inflict more misery on the Reds.

Guardiola 'threatens' not to play Gundogan

Sports Brief earlier reported on Pep Guardiola threatening not to play Ilkay Gundogan after his wife aimed a dig toward Pep's restaurant in Manchester.

Gundogan's wife, Sara Arfaoui, received widespread backlash after saying that Manchester had no good restaurants. Pep jokingly said Gundogan would not play for the team anymore.
