Nigerian international Asisat Oshoala and her Barcelona Femeni teammates graced the red carpet of the Theatre du Chatelet for the 2022 Ballon D’Or awards.
The Super Falcons striker made the top 20 in the Women’s category following her impressive performances for club and country during the year.
The Women’s category will be tightly contested as the nominees include last year's winner Alexia Putellas, EA FIFA 23 cover star Sam Kerr, three American national team players, and three members of England's Euro 2022 winning side.
Sportingnews reports that Putellas could miss out of the prestigious prize having missed the Euros and her Barcelona side lost the Champions League final.

Oshoala was earlier pictured the moment she departed Barcelona and headed for Paris, and she along with some of her teammates were sighted on the red carpet of the main event.
Benzema poised to win Ballon d'Or
On the other hand, Karim Benzema is expected to return home with the coveted prize in the Men’s category.
The Real Madrid striker made a bold statement with his arrival at the venue as he received the biggest cheers of the night.
The Lyon born striker is the red hot favourite to scoop the 2022 Ballon d'Or award. Benzema claims to be 'happy' to be cited as favourite and looking forward to the event.
He netted a total of 44 goals in 46 appearances as Real Madrid cruised to the Spanish La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles last season.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Brazil and Barcelona great Dani Alves has shed light on a behind-the-scene scuffle he had with Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of a Ballon d'Or Ceremony.
Alves, who made over 400 appearances for the Catalan giants across two spells, revealed that he was involved in a "tussle" with the then-Real Madrid superstar during his time at Barcelona.
