Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi has shared an adorable video where the Nigerian was mobbed by kids for autographs in England after playing for Everton against Manchester United.

Iwobi, started for Everton against Manchester United on Sunday, 9 October, and scored the opener in the 5th minute before Anthony and Cristiano Ronaldo netted the two goals that gave the Red Devils the win.

But, despite the defeat Everton suffered against United, Iwobi was hailed by fans for his brilliant game and his performances so far this season.

Frank Lampard has also many times explained that Iwobi is an important member of his squad and urged him to keep making the fans proud.

In the video Iwobi shared on his Instagram page, the Nigeria was in joyous mood while signing autographs for the kids.

Iwobi was also in action on Saturday, 15 October, as Everton were beaten 2-0 by Tottenham in a Premier League game, with Harry Kane and Hojbjerg netting the two goals for Spurs.

After 10 games played so far this season, Everton are currently occupying 14th position on the Premier League table with 10 points.

The 26-year-old has continued to flourish under manager Frank Lampard, and the Toffees are set to extend his contract despite the existing one running until the summer of 2024.

Iwobi has grown to become one of the best midfielders in the English top flight, and Everton are already making efforts to tie him down.

Lampard disclosed that negotiations are underway regarding an extension of the player’s deal, as he was also crucial to their survival last season.
