Arsenal fans could hardly hide their joy following Manchester City's 1-0 surprise defeat against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, October 16.
City's defeat saw the Gunners take a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League standings, with Mikel Arteta's charges now enjoying a four-point lead over the reigning champions.
However, there was more to the Citizen's loss than just handing the north Londoners a slight advantage in the title race.

The north Londoners remain the only side to finish a season without suffering a defeat, with City's hopes of breaking the record suffering a blow after 10 rounds of matches.
The reigning English champions were the only team yet to suffer a loss this season prior to their trip to Anfield.
However, Mohamed Salah's stunner in the 76th minute of the clash ended that unbeaten run, much to the joy of Arsenal fans.

They have since maintained a winning run, with many touting them as favourites to challenge Man City for the Premier League crown.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on former midfielder for Chelsea and Liverpool, Joe Cole admitting Arsenal are the favourites to win the Premier League this season.
Cole called himself a believer in the Gunners hoisting the title, adding that the processes talked about by Mikel Arteta were starting to bear fruit.
"It looks like a well-oiled machine. Exciting times for Arsenal fans," the three-time Premier League winner added.
