  • Christophe Galtier has been captured devising a new role for wantaway Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe
  • Galtier's charges shared the spoils with Benfica on Tuesday night after Mbappe's first-half goal was cancelled by Joao Mario
  • Mbappe had initially complained of his discomfort in playing as a pivot in PSG's star-studded attacking trident

Paris Saint-Germain Manager Christophe Galtier has been spotted with a fascinating message about wantaway star Kylian Mbappe, during the reverse Champions League fixture with Benfica.

Mbappe, who has enjoyed a fruitful start to the current campaign, hogged the headlines this week with multiple reports indicating the Frenchman's intention to quit PSG.

Despite averaging a goal in 89 minutes, the 23-year-old France international has complained about his current role as the striker in PSG's three-man attack.

According to Mbappe, his role under Christophe Galtier confines his movement and he prefers to operate from the left. The star took to social media to air his views before quickly deleting his post, reports Givemesport.

In Les Parisiens' Champions League reverse tie against Benfica, Mbappe played as the pivot of the three-pronged attack for the umpteenth time and even scored the only goal, as PSG shared the spoils with the Portuguese outfit.

In a photo posted on Twitter however, spotted by Sports Brief, PSG manager Christophe Galtier scribbled a message about his wantaway superstar.

The back of his notepad revealed one scrawling, which read: "Kylian perf [the right]", suggesting the ex-Nice boss was carving out a plan for Mbappe in a new role.

According to a social media user @ClexaFrance, Galiter's inscription is a shorthand which means performance in French.

"It looks like “perf”. We use this to shorten “performance” in French.": @ClexaFrance wrote on Twitter.

Following the end of the game, the PSG boss revealed he was considering alternatives to bring the best out of the 2017 Golden Boy award winner.

“I am trying to reassure him by finding different options, I don’t know what the club told him before I arrived in the summer, but we are very sensitive as to how he feels and what he says because he is a very important player for the team,” Galtier said as quoted by Mirror.

PSG coach finally reacts to Mbappe's deleted post complaining about his tactics

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has appeared to have doused the tension between himself and Kylian Mbappe, after the French forward appeared to have criticised his tactics.

Mbappe had taken to social media to blast Galtier’s style of using him in the middle of PSG’s three-man attacking set-up, in the aftermath of the goalless draw against Reims last weekend.

According to Daily Mirror, Galtier has now responded to the now-deleted post, revealing that Mbappe is capable of adapting to any role he plays.
