  • Marco Van Basten has called out Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar for his unpleasant attitude on the pitch
  • The renowned former Dutch footballer reckons Neymar's crybaby nature is an affront against fair play, intimating he will be glad if someone injures the PSG No.10
  • Despite his relatively limited time on the pitch, Van Basten enjoyed plenty of success, including winning the Ballon d'Or award on three occasions

Former Dutch and AC Milan star Marco van Basten has accused Neymar of being a 'crybaby' after PSG's most recent Ligue 1 encounter with Reims.

Van Basten launched a scathing attack on Neymar for how he conducts himself on the pitch after the Brazilian playmaker was involved in a series of scuffles as PSG shared the spoils with Reims.

Neymar and his PSG teammates endured a frustrating night which was compounded by Sergio Ramos' customary red card, his 28th career sending-off, as noted by Squawka.

Van Basten, who was on punditry duty, was speaking after the game and aimed a sly dig at Neymar’s actions.

The three-time Ballon d'Or winner claimed that Neymar fouled players in one moment and then immediately cried victim in the next phase, which he described as being “unpleasant”

"Neymar is a real cry baby, he is constantly provoking players." Van Basten said as quoted by the Mirror.
"In one second, he will foul someone and the next second he is playing the victim again. There is no permission to touch him. I would applaud it if someone actually dealt with him [with a challenge]. He is an unpleasant person on the pitch."

Neymar takes swipe at naysayers questioning his controversial penalty in preseason

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Paris Saint-Germain livewire Neymar has given a sharp rebuttal to 'haters' criticizing him for diving in a pre-season friendly against Japanese club Gamba Osaka.

The Brazilian superstar grabbed the headlines for both the right and wrong reasons in PSG's last pre-season game staged in Japan.

He helped the French champions wipe Gamba Osaka on the floor on Monday, July 25 at the Panasonic Stadium in Suita, Japan.
