- The Saudi Arabian second division outfit defeated the struggling Najran on Tuesday evening
- This was after Mosimane had started his tenure in the Middle East last week with a draw
Pitso Mosimane has posted a checkmark in the win column for the first time in the Saudi Arabian second division.
His team Al-Ahly Saudi FC saw off Najran 2-1 on Tuesday evening at home in the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
TimesLIVE reported that the struggling visitors took a shock lead thanks to Khaled Ben-Alif in the 30th minute. This stung the hosts into action, with Al-Ahli pulling one back thanks to Abdullah Al-Mogren in the 54th minute.

With the match seemingly head for a draw, Al-Mogren stepped up to take a 90th-minute penalty to steal the points for Mosimane's charges.
The result saw Al-Ahli go quietly into fourth place on the log table with 12 points after seven matches. Najran remained rooted in last place, 18th spot with just three measly points from their seven outings.
Mosimane's start to life in the Middle East was uneventful, as Al-Ahli had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw against city rivals Jeddah SC last week, as per SowetanLIVE.
Al-Ahli will now take on eighth-placed Al-Riyadh on Sunday evening.
Pitso Mosimane's tiff with Mamelodi Sundowns is yet to reach a resolution.
In 2021, Sundowns hauled him and Tlhagale Sports Marketing and Management to court in a bid to force them to pay back R8 million in agent fees they had received from the club, as was reported by Sports Brief. The company belongs to Mosimane's wife Moira Tlhagale, who also doubles as his agent.
