  • Erling Haaland formed a rap group with his two friends while in Norway and christened themselves the 'Flow Kingz'
  • The video of the song they released has resurfaced online following Haaland's explosive start to life in England
  • All the members of the rap group turned out to be professional footballers despite initially thinking their future was in the studio

Erling Haaland's trajectory to the very top of professional football has been a beautiful sight to see. The striker has risen from the Norwegian league to the Premier League.

He is currently considered one of the best players in world football. Pundits have tipped him to rival Kylian Mbappe once the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi debate is over.

But before all the consecutive hat-tricks at the Etihad Stadium and breaking all types of records in the Premier League, Haaland had a different career path in mind.

The towering striker was part of a rap group called 'Flow Kingz.' He was the third member of the three-member band together with his friends Erik Sandberg and Erik Botheim.

The trio are now professional footballers, with Haaland being the most successful of them. While in their native Norway at a tender age, the group came together and released a song that has now resurfaced online.

Botheim now plays for the Italian club Salernitana, while Sanberg plays for Jerv in Norway. Sport Bible reports that the message of the song was basically about paying mobile phone subscriptions and eating salads.

Pep Guardiola downplays Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland's comparisons

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that there can be no comparisons to Lionel Messi as there is nobody on the level of the Argentina captain.

The Spanish tactician has been made to downplay the comparisons between the new Manchester City forward. Erling Haaland and the Paris Saint-Germain forward.

Haaland has netted 19 times in just 12 appearances for the Citizens in what is described as one of the best starts for a striker, but Guardiola believes the forward is nowhere near Messi’s quality.
