Juventus have sent a heartwarming video to Ghanaian footballer, Kwadwo Asamoah, following the announcement of his retirement on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old called it time on a glittering career and will now venture into player agency.

In a video posted on social media, Juventus shared Asamoah's best moment with the player and his fans as they bid him farewell in his next career path.

"Thank you for everything Kwadwo Asamoah. All the best for the future," wrote Juventus on Twitter.

Asamoah spent six successful seasons in Turin, winning six Scudetto titles and four Coppa Italia.

However, the Ghanaian was unlucky in Europe after losing in two UEFA Champions League finals with Juventus, in 2014 and 2017.

And with the Ghana national team, the left-footer featured 74 times, scoring four goals for the Black Stars. He was a member of Ghana's team at the 2010 and 2014 World Cup.

His most remarkable display in a Black Stars jersey was at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, where Ghana reached the final, only to lose to Egypt. A moment Asamoah will never forget.

"We were so close to winning the Africa Cup of Nations many times, and we never did it," he told the BBC.

"We've been chasing this for some 30 years now; we got to the final three times, but never managed to win it.
