Tottenham Hotspur have been plunged into mourning following the death of their fitness coach.
Gian Piero Ventrone is said to have passed away 'suddenly' from fulminant leukaemia at the age of 62.
His death was confirmed by the Premier League giants on Thursday, October 6.
In a statement shared by Tottenham on social media, the club said:

"He will be greatly missed by everyone at the Club, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this impossibly sad time."
According to The Mirror, citing sources in Italy, 'The Marine' as Ventrone was fondly known, passed away in Naples after he was taken ill.
The 62-year-old joined linked up with Tottenham in November 2021 when Antonio Conte was appointed the club's new manager.
The Daily Mail reports that Ventrone was a trusted and valued member of Conte's backroom staff, having previously worked with him at Juventus.
Catania, JS Suning, GZ Evergrande and AC Ajaccio are some of the other clubs the fitness coach has worked with.
It is understood that his intense training regime has been pivotal in Tottenham's strong start to the new season.
