FootballDarwin Nunez Points out One Hilarious Struggle at Liverpool Since Transfer
- Liverpool star Darwin Nunez joked he does not understand anything Jurgen Klopp says
- The Uruguay international has struggled since making the big move to Anfield from Benfica in the summer
- Nunez currently has only two goals to his name in a Liverpool shirt in all competitions
Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez has hilariously declared that he barely understands the words and instructions that are spoken to him by Jurgen Klopp.
The 23-year old made a famous switch to Anfield in the summer after a goal-filled 2021/22 campaign with Benfica, but has struggled to adapt to the Premier League.
Having found the net against Manchester City in the Community Shield and in Liverpool’s opening day against Fulham, Nunez has struggled in front of goal.
While fans and pundits have come up with different theories to why he is struggling, Nunez himself spoke on his woes where he jokingly claimed he struggles to make out what his manager is saying due to his accent.

“Truthfully, when he [Klopp] speaks I don’t understand anything.” He told ESPN Vivo cited in Marca:
"Of course I ask my team mates what he's saying, but I think he has a clear idea about his style of play".
On Tuesday, October 5, Nunez was partnered up front by Diogo Jota but neither striker was able to find the back of the net.
Liverpool however still cruised to victory, securing a 2-0 win to move to second in their group.
Both goals came from dead balls as Trent-Alexander Arnold scored a stunning free kick, while Mohammed Salah rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot.
Despite struggling for goals at Anfield, Klopp is choosing to keep the faith that Nunez will eventually find his spark in English football.

Manchester United were beaten by their cross-city rivals 6-3 in a majorly one-sided affair at the Etihad stadium.
Ten Hag had reportedly instructed Antony to track back and help Diogo Dalot defend against the marauding and incessant Jack Grealish and Bernando Silva.
