Brazilian football icon Ricardo Kaka has revealed his best memory at Real Madrid was the day he left the club.
Kaka joined Real Madrid from AC Milan for a fee of €67 million from AC Milan in 2009 alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso.
Despite starting his career at Santiago Bernabeu on a positive note his form the 2007 Ballon d'Or winner had a nosedive in form which was largely as a result of niggling injuries.
Reflecting on his stint with the Merengues, Kaka, who partook in Sunday's Berlin Marathon, revealed his fondest memory at the club was when he exited.

"It may sound strange, but I prefer the day that it was confirmed that I was leaving," Kaka told MARCA.
Because I spoke with Florentino, and he told me that they saw me as a great professional who had done everything possible to achieve great results in Madrid.
"But the injuries and the few minutes that the coach gave me did not allow it.
"That was a great satisfaction because I felt that the doors of the club were open. That is why you will never hear me speak ill of Madrid or José Mourinho.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Manchester United had a surprise guest earlier in the week after they were paid a visit by Real Madrid legend Kaka.
Kaka is understood to have watched United on Sunday, September 4, as they demolished rivals Arsenal 3-1 at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian great opted to extend his stay in Manchester and decided to turn up at United's Carrington Training base a day later.
