Robert Lewandowski has confirmed he made the right choice signing for Barcelona this summer after ending his 8-year relationship with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The 33-year-old forward who has had a superb start to life in Spain, joined the Catalans on a 3-year deal this summer in a deal worth €45million with an extra €5million in add-ons.

According to Barca Universal, Lewandowski has now revealed Barcelona was the place he wanted to be after leaving Bayern Munich this summer.

“I feel very good in a new place. I know the road wasn’t easy, but I’m in the place I wanted to be and that’s the most important.”

Lewandowski signed off for the international break with a brace against Elche over the weekend as the Poland striker has now scored a total of 11 goals in all competitions for Barcelona this season.

Meanwhile, Barcelona manager Xavi is excited about the rich form of Robert Lewandowski and has revealed he is delighted with the 33-year-old’s work ethic, Marca reports.

Xavi disclosed he had never doubted the Poland striker’s goal-scoring abilities as he was confident Lewandowski will replicate what he did for Bayern Munich with the La Liga giants.

The Barcelona manager confessed that it was a delight to have Lewandowski whom he says is humble, committed, and hungry at the Camp Nou.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona bounced back from their Champions League loss to Bayern Munich in midweek as the Catalan giants returned to winning ways at the Camp Nou with a comfortable 3-0 win against Elche.

Robert Lewandowski returned to his scoring form as the Poland striker netted a brace on either side of Memphis Depay’s effort to help Barcelona maintain their unbeaten run in La Liga.

Barcelona has now garnered 16 points from their opening 6 games and overtakes Real Madrid who have a game in hand against Atletico Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.
