Barcelona has the highest number of players from the Spanish La Liga shortlisted for the 2022 Golden Boy award as the top 40 nominees have been announced.
La Masia graduates including Ansu Fati, Gavi, Alejandro Balde and current holder Pedri have all been shortlisted in the 40-man list released.
Pedri won the award in 2021 and has been nominated for it once more despite having a campaign marred by injuries the previous time around.

Valencia has the second highest number of players nominated for the Golden Boy awards with 2 players as Dimoara Musa and Nico Gonzalez were shortlisted.
Real Madrid midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga joins the list of La Liga players nominated for the award alongside Villareal’s Santos Pino.
The Golden Boy award is voted by journalists to determine the best young player in European football and was first won by Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart in 2003.
