Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he expects Liverpool fans to show respect to the tribute to the queen in tonight's Champions League clash with Ajax Amsterdam.
The Reds had asked UEFA for permission to honour the queen in a minute of silence before the match on Tuesday night. A section of Liverpool fans had booed the national anthem during the FA Cup and Carabao Cup final at Wembley last season.
Klopp asks fans to respect tribute as they did with Ronaldo
According to the Guardian, the German tactician said that a minute of silence is the right thing to do.

I think it is the right thing to do but I don’t think our people need any kind of advice from me for showing respect.
Klopp also used Ronaldo's story as an example to the fans. The Manchester United star lost his son during childbirth in April and Liverpool fans at Anfield paid showed their respects to Ronaldo with applause in the 7th minute.
There are plenty of examples where our people showed exactly the right respect. One which surprised me and I was really proud of that moment was last season when we played Manchester United around a very sad situation with Cristiano Ronaldo’s family. And that is what I expect. For me, it is clear that’s what we have to do.
