- Former Real Madrid defender Jonathan Woodgate was so impressed with the performance of the former Lille of France striker
A former defender at Spanish club Real Madrid, Jonathan Woodgate, has disclosed that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen is destined for the English Premier League.
Woodgate was stunned by Osimhen’s performance in Napoli’s 4-1 win over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
Although the Super Eagles forward missed a penalty during the encounter, he gave the entire Liverpool defence a tough time as he proved too hot to handle.
Virgil van Dijk had to clip the striker to concede a penalty, but the 23-year-old’s spot kick was saved by goalkeeper Alisson Becker who went the right way.

“The two centre-halves (Van Dijk and Joe Gomez) will be absolutely delighted to see the back of Osimhen after he was substituted because he was so difficult to play against. He is destined for the Premier League.”
