Lewy's third goal made him the first footballer to hit Champions League trebles for three different sides - Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
He famously scored four times at the Signal Iduna Park in a resounding 4-1 victory against Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the 2013 edition.
His second treble came for Bayern in a 5-0 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb at the Allianz Arena in a group stage game in 2015. He went on to score four hat-tricks for the Bavarian giants.
Lewandowski has now registered six hat-tricks since making his debut in the UEFA Champions League against Olympiacos in October 2011.
He is only behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have managed to net eight hat-tricks each.
