A former France international David Trezeguet has suggested that the Teranga Lions will do well at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Sadio Mane will lead the reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions to the Mundial, which starts on November 20 and ends by December 18.
According to Trezeguet, the Senegalese have the tricks and skills to pull a surprise in their opening 2022 World Cup fixture against the Netherlands.
He made this declaration during the World Cup trophy tour to the West African nation on Tuesday, September 6.

Drawn in Group A, Senegal will trade tackles with hosts Qatar, Ecuador and European powerhouse Netherlands.
But Trezeguet is optimistic the team can make an appreciative impact at the global showpiece. Trezeguet said:
“Senegal will be a protagonist team.
“The first match against the Netherlands is not easy, but in my opinion they have all the necessary skills to go all the way.”
Ghana coach names squad for Brazil, Nicaragua friendlies
Meanwhile, head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has named his squad for the international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua later this month.
The team will face Brazil on September 23 in Le Havre, France, before engaging Nicaragua three days later in Spain.
In a post by the Ghana Football Association on social media, the team consists of several new players, including England youth star Tariq Lamptey.

Sports Brief earlier reported that legendary Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan met Eswatini's king during his visit to the South African nation.
The former Black Stars captain, who was in Eswatini for the African legends and Eswatini stars exhibition game, took the opportunity to meet Mswati III.
Asamoah Gyan presented his book, LeGyandary to the king as they spent time talking about the game. He also gave him his jersey.
