Toni Kroos wasn’t afraid of the threat Celtic posed in the Champions League and actually predicted the outcome of the match to a tee.
Speaking ahead of the game, Kroos said that Madrid had nothing to fear because they were used to soaking up the pressure away from home and would find a way to score when the other team had tired themselves out.
That was exactly the case when the Spanish champions travelled to Celtic Park to take on the Scottish champions.
Celtic, spurred on by their home fans, bullied Los Blancos in the first half. The Scottish side created numerous chances and were unlucky not to take a lead into the break.

Captain Callum McGregor had the hosts’ best chance as rattled the post with a powerful shot after 21 minutes. Jota and Liel Abada also had prime chances to score but fluffed their lines in the final third.
Apart from Karim Benzema’s injury at the half-hour mark, Madrid didn’t seem to be too concerned by the first-half performance. In true Madrid fashion, they came out all guns blazing in the second half to destroy the hosts.
Vinícius Júnior and Luka Modrić scored two goals in just five minutes to stun Celtic, before Eden Hazard wrapped up the scoring in the 77th minute of the game.
Modrić's goal in particular showed how ageless the midfielder is, as he scored with the outside of his boot, after some neat play to evade the defenders in the box.
