- Alvaro Morata, Alex Witsel and Koke are unhappy with the referee and VAR after their draw with Real Sociedad
Atletico Madrid are not happy with the refereeing in their game against Real Sociedad.
Los Rojiblancos shared the spoils with La Real in an end-to-end encounter which saw two goals disallowed.
Alvaro Morata scored the opening goal within the first five minutes of the game for Atletico, but Sociedad’s new signing, Umar Sadiq grabbed an equaliser ten minutes into the second half, Goal reported.
However, Atletico weren’t happy with the decision to award the equaliser after Sadiq appeared to handle the ball in the build-up to the goal. Morata’s second goal for Atletico was ruled out for the same reason.

As reported by Madrid Universal, Morata, Koke and Alex Witsel, all criticised the officiating.
“It happens so fast on the pitch that it’s almost impossible to see, we understand that, but there are also people in the VAR room,” Morata said.
“In the end, we can’t do anything and we just have to play and accept what happens because nothing will change, he said. They won’t change anything that happened,” he added. Witsel added that it was a shame because the attacker used his hand to score and felt that his team deserved more than a point.
Atletico Madrid’s captain Koke described as being penalized by the details.
” They [the referees] come to give us chats, then later they do the opposite. It’s happened in several games, but that’s football,” Koke added.

FootballÁlvaro Morata and Umar Sadiq score as Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad share the spoils in La Liga
It took Alvaro Morata just five minutes to break the deadlock in Atletico Madrid’s game against Real Sociedad.
Morata struck from a corner, pouncing on the ball after hitting the post and then landing in his path.
Sociedad then had better chances to not only equalise but also to take the lead. Mohamed-Ali Cho, also known as Momo Cho, terrorised the Atleti left flank and created great chances for his teammates.
