Napoli Reject Osimhen’s Potential Loan Deal to English Premier League Club Manchester United

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Italian outfit Napoli are unwilling to loan out their striker Victor Osimhen in possible exchange for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

With 24 hours left in the summer transfer window, Napoli have rejected Manchester United’s proposal to sign Osimhen on loan.

Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be interested in playing Champions League football, but the Red Devils failed to qualify for the competition, having failed to finish in the top four last season.

The latest report from Inside Futbol claims Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, met with the president of Napoli FC Aurelio De Laurentiis and proposed a Serie A return for Ronaldo.

It was gathered that Napoli want €130m for the striker, and Manchester United have already spent close to €250m this summer.

Another option being explored is for Osimhen to join Manchester United on a loan deal with an obligatory purchase clause, but that seems to be a non-starter.
