Callum Hudson-Odoi has revealed that kai Havertz encouraged him to dump Chelsea and seal a temporary move to Bayer Leverkusen.
The Englishman had found it difficult to break into Thomas Tuchel's first team, with the forward yet to feature for the Blues this season.
Hudson-Odoi could only manage 15 Premier League appearances last term after struggling for form occasioned by his Achilles injury in 2019.
However, the 21-year-old has a chance to rediscover his spark after joining Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan.

Kai Havertz's role in Callum Hudson-Odoi move to Bayer Leverkusen
Hudson-Odoi has now opened up on his decision to dump the Blues to seal a move to the Bundesliga.
The Englishman divulged that Havertz played a key role in his transfer to the German club, disclosing that he consulted his Chelsea teammate before he made the move.
"He [Havertz] told me it’s amazing, obviously, that everyone around that he’s been with the past years have been amazing for him," Hudson-Odoi told the Bayer Leverkusen website.
"He enjoyed every moment of it, and he said you’ll love it over there – just go, do you and be confident, and everything will go well," he added.
Havertz spent a decade at the BayArena before he sealed a transfer move to Stamford Bridge.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Christian Pulisic's attempts to leave Chelsea this summer have been blocked by the club.
The winger is now set to remain at the club and fight for his place under Thomas Tuchel.
Pulisic's role at the club was under scrutiny after the club bought Raheem Sterling from Manchester City. He is yet to begin any games this season, with all of his appearances coming from the bench.
