As reported by SportBible, Torre will have to remain in the third division if Barcelona can’t move him back to the first team before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
Torre, a 19-year-old talented midfielder, was signed by Barcelona in June from racing Santander and was expected to be given a chance in the first team this season.
As noted by Football Espana, Torre would be loaned back to Racing after securing a move to Barca, with Racing offering to pay 40% of his salary.
A disagreement between Xavi and Barcelona’s Director of Football, Mateu Alemany, ended that idea. Alemany didn’t like the idea of Torre going out on loan. Torre will now face a nervy three-day period as he waits to see for which team he will be playing his football this season.
