NBAAntonio Conte Uses Brilliant 'husband' Analogy to Defend Struggling Heung Min Son
- Antonio Conte has backed Son Heung min to come out of his goal drought
- The Premier League’s top scorer for last season is yet to find the net in four games this campaign
- But his manager retains his faith in him, saying he would go for Son if he ever wanted to ‘find a husband for his daughter’
Antonio Conte came to a passionate backing of forward Heung Min Son as last season’s top scorer continues to struggle in front of goal in the new campaign.
Son once again fired blanks on Sunday, August 28 as Harry Kane’s brace helped Spurs maintain their unbeaten start to the new season.
And Conte, speaking after the match, admitted his forward was ‘suffering’ after blanking once again.

Despite the goal drought, and the South Korean being outshone by the likes of Kane, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison at Forest, Conte maintained that Son remained an integral part of his plans this season.
The Italian manager then went on to use a brilliant “husband” analogy to sum up Son.
"Sonny is a really sensible player," Conte said afterwards. "He's really sensible and a top man, a really good guy.
"If I am to give an example, I have to find a husband for my daughter I'd like to be a person like him!
"In this moment maybe he's suffering a lot that he's not scoring. But he has to continue in this way and trust himself because in every game he has the opportunity, the chance to score and then he has to be calm. We trust him and the team-mates.
Son now faces an uphill task of fighting for a place with new signing Richarlison, who assisted Harry Kane with the second goal against Nottingham Forest.

In the same post-match press conference, Conte also seemed to defend Richarlison aganst critics who called him out for an alleged lack of respect during the game.
The Brazilian decided to casually juggle the ball in the face of Nottingham Forest players before eventually being fouled, but Conte says he saw no issue with it.
"He juggled with the ball," Conte said. "It is a game and you are under pressure. I repeat it is OK. I don't think Richy wanted to show disrespect to Nottingham Forest.
