Chelsea have been handed a major injury boost as Croatian midfielder Matteo Kovacic returned to full training recently.
Kovacic, who is yet to make an appearance for Thomas Tuchel’s side in their opening three games, was part of the team that trained away from their usual Cobham training base on Tuesday, August 23.
Earlier in the month, Tuchel had revealed that medical staff had delayed his return to training.

“Has issues with his knee, always a little bit of a reaction,' Tuchel said earlier this month,” Tuchel said as quoted on Daily Mail.
“We decided to take a step back to increase treatment time to reduce the stress that comes from training to have a normal reaction before we can start again,”
Sportbible further reports that several players were missing from the open training session.
Notable names that did not take part were Armando Broja and N’golo Kante, who are both nursing injuries, while Callum-Hudson Odoi was also absent amid speculation over his future at Stamford Bridge.
Emerson Palmieri was also absent, with reports suggesting he was undergoing a medical ahead of a switch to West Ham.
