The Dutch giants have slammed an £84million price tag on the 22-year-old, but United are confident they get a deal over the line with a down-payment of £74m.
Should Antony complete the transfer, it will bring the Red Devils' summer expenditure to an eyewatering £205.2m.
Who else has Manchester United signed?
United have already signed four new players this summer, including Casemiro, who arrived at the club earlier in the week from Real Madrid in a £60m transfer deal.
The Ten Hag-tutored side have also added two defenders within their ranks in the shape of Lisandro Martinez, who joined from Ajax, and Tyrell Malacia.
United managed to snap up former Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur middleman Christian Eriksen in the midfield.
However, Ten Hag is not expected to stop there, with reports suggesting the Dutchman is looking to sign PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo.
