As reported by SportBible, Braithwaite wants to be paid more wages by RCD Mallorca than he currently is getting at FC Barcelona.

The player has been told that he has no future at the club and hasn’t been handed a squad number for the new season but prefers to stay with the Catalan giants for the coming season. Braithewaite believes he will get a chance to play if Barca sells Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Memphis Depay during the current transfer window.

Mallorca have shown the most interest in signing the striker but are said to be put off by his huge salary demands. Braithwaite wants to play regularly this season to book a place at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar and would be open to the move.

As reported by Barca Universal, Braithwaite is expected to arrange a meeting with Mallorca manager Javier Aguirre to discuss the way forward.

The striker previously played under Aguirre when he was at Leganes and has a good working relationship with the manager. Barca are desperate to sell the player in order to register Jules Kounde, but the ball lies firmly in Brathwaite’s court.
