Ghanaian centre-back, Abdul Mumin Suleman, has emerged as a transfer target for English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.

The 24-year-old was headed to Angers from Vitoria Guimaraes in the summer transfer window, but Bournemouth's interest has stalled the move to France.

According to Daily Echo, the Vitoria Guimaraes defender fancies a move to the English Premier League despite and he is likely to sign for the Cherries.

Abdul Mumin has been a regular member of Vitoria Guimaraes since arriving from FC Nordsjaelland in the summer of 2020.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate has made 61 appearances for the Primeira Liga outfit.

He was named in Ghana's squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon early this and was also part of the group that edged Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah completes move to Auxerre

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Gideon Mensah is returning to the French Ligue 1 after sealing a permanent move to AJ Auxerre in the summer transfer window.

The Ghana international signed a three-year deal to join Auxerre from Austrian giants Red Bull Stalzburg.

Auxerre confirmed the arrival of the left-back, expressing delight in securing the signature of the defender.
